Included are Birds of Prey rehab center; Calgary zoo; Lethbridge attractions of High Bridge, condo neighborhood where we stayed, Japanese Garden, Fort Whoop Up and nature preserve; Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump (the head smashed in was of young brave who went too close to the falling buffalo); Lundbreck Falls; Writing on Stone Provencial Park; Waterton Lakes International Peace Park with Cameron Falls, Cameron Lake, Waterton Lake boat trip, and wildlife.

Unitas Mountains area & Ruth Lake, UT 2008 : Going east from Park City we travelled the Mirror Lake scenic byway in Uintas mountains. First, we encountered Provo River Falls. There were a number of hikes in this area and the Ruth Lake hike was scenic and relatively easy. The wildflowers were beautiful as were the reflections of the mountains in the lake itself.

Park City, UT, 2008 and area : Park City, Utah, had a downtown with neat galleries and dog friendly places. But in and around the city were many hiking trails and three ski areas. One ski area, The Canyons, operated a gondola up the mountain with hiking trails through meadows and aspen groves.

Mt Nebo, Provo Canyon & Alpine Loop, UT 2008 : Scenic byways in Utah were scenic! The Mt Nebo scenic byway had a trail to the red rock formations. There was a fire above Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon as we drove through the canyon. The Alpine Loop byway included a stop at Sundance.

Scotland: Isle of Lewis & Outer Hebrides Islands : Our trip to Scotland took us briefly to Glasgow, then to the Isle of Lewis. We spent four nights on a ship, the MV Cuma skippered by Murdo Macdonald, that toured smaller islands off the western coast of the Isle of Lewis and Harris: to Taransay, Scarp, and Pabbay. The waters were bluegreen and deep blue, the beaches pure white. After the islands tour we stayed in Stornoway on the eastern coast of the Isle of Lewis. On our last day on the Isle of Lewis we took a bus up to the northern tip of the island to a place called the Butt of Lewis. I've arranged the photos so that the towns of Glasgow and Stornoway appear fitst. The photos were taken with an Olympus point and shoot 770 SW and with a Nikon D200 with a 18-200 mm lens.

Ireland 2008 : This trip to Ireland was part of a Groves Conference on Marriage and Families Study Tour, May 31-June 8, 2008. We went to Galway, Belfast, and Dublin. After the conference we stayed on and toured the Kilmainham Gaol. These photos are of the scenery and towns. Some photos were taken with a point and shoot Olympus 770 SW and others were taken with a Nikon D200 with a 18-200mm lens.

Cabos San Lucas Dec 2007 : On a trip to Cabo San Lucas we stayed on the Pacific Ocean side at the Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach resort. We took a trip north to the town of Todos Santos (home to the Hotel California made famous in the Eagles song), we snorkeled and took a trip around the town. We saw flamingos, sting rays flying out of the water (photos are fuzzy as they were taken from the balcony of our room and zoomed and enlarged), pelicans, sea lions and whales. And we had beautiful sunsets observed (and photographed) from our balcony as we listened to the sounds of the waves below.
